First Look: New Savage Model 334 Rifle Options

Savage Arms is expanding the caliber options for its Model 334 bolt-action hunting rifles. Hunters and marksmen will now have the option of fielding Savage Arms Model 334 rifles in .270 Win. and .30-‘06 Sprg, two long-action, bottleneck rifle cartridges that date back to the first half of the 20th century and whose reputation in North American hunting and sport shooting is solidified and strong. In addition to these two new chamberings, Savage Arms is also offering the Model 334 in a Mossy Oak Terra Gila synthetic stock. All Savage Arms Model 334 barrels are 20 inches long for good balance of velocity and ease of use in the field.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Model 334 in Mossy Oak Terra Gila camo while also expanding the caliber options to include .30-‘06 Sprg and 270 Win. to the 334 family,” said RJ Contorno, senior product manager at Savage Arms. “These additions demonstrate our commitment to providing our customers with the highest quality firearms that deliver both performance and value.”

  • Available In five different calibers (.308 Win, .243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, .270 Win)
  • All Model 334 barrels are 20 inches long for a good balance of velocity and handiness
  • Savage Arms style 60-degree bolt with three locking lugs, three-position safety
  • Three-round detachable magazine
  • Stock options include synthetic matte black, the new Mossy Oak Terra Gila or Turkish Walnut
  • Savage Model 110-style drilled and tapped receivers with steel M1913 Picatinny rails
  • Free floating button rifled barrels manufactured carbon steel with 11-degree target crowns
  • Traditional sling swivel studs
